Summer holidays at the Archive of Albufeira introduce youngsters to the history of the Algarve

The activities are aimed at children aged between 9 and 14 years old

The “Albufeira Historical Archive Summer Holidays” program will, from the 3rd to the 7th of July, introduce young people to the heritage and history of the Algarve. 

The activities are aimed at children aged between 9 and 14 years old (inclusive) and take place during the first week of July, from 9 am to 00 pm.

Entries are now open, so those interested should contact the Educational Service of the Historical Archive, by telephone at 289 599 638, by e-mail: [email protected] or through this link and do the registration.

Seats are limited to 20 participants and close as soon as the limit number of registered children is reached. The program, which promises to whet the curiosity of the youngest for the culture and identity of the region, includes visits to the Museum of Costume, in São Brás de Alportel (3rd), Roman Ruins of Milreu, in Estoi (4th), Sagres ( 5th) and the Megalithic Monuments of Alcalar, in Mexilhoeira Grande (6th).

The last day, the 7th of July, is reserved for discovering the history of Albufeira, through a peddy paper and a binding workshop.
