The Caixa Geral de Depósitos Grand Auditorium, in the Campus de Gambelas of the University of Algarve, will be the stage of the concert “From the Lyric to the Symphonic”, by Orquestra do Algarve, on the 8th of June, at 18 pm.
The concert “Do Lírico para o Sinfônico”, directed by maestro José Eduardo Gomes, will contemplate operas by four composers and “proposes the discovery of the lyrical vein of this quartet of geniuses, but in a symphonic scope, with a curious opening for puppet theater by Smetana , which are followed by two symphonies full of brilliance by authors who inscribed their name in the pantheon of opera», explains the University of Algarve in a note.
As a highlight, the immortal Pavane de Fauré will be heard, with the participation of the Community Choir.
The initiative is free entry, but subject to room capacity.
