Algarve 2030 opens in July first notice in the area of Social Innovation

Announced the Algarve CCDR

Projects aimed at “developing skills in children and young people” will be the subject of the first notice of the Algarve 2030 Regional Program in the area of social innovation, which will be launched in July.

This notice was just prepared during the Aldeia da Inovação Social event, which took place in the village of Luz, in the municipality of Mourão, and was attended by Ana Abrunhosa and Ana Mendes Godinho, ministers of Territorial Cohesion and Labour, Solidarity and Security Social.

For two days, the Portugal Social Innovation Mission Structure (EMPIS) «transformed the village into a large showcase, with presentations, demonstrations and debates, of the best social innovation in our country. There were more than 170 speakers, 700 participants and more than 1200 visitors who, during two days, around six stages and 35 themes, allowed to reinforce the interaction between communities, social entrepreneurs and investors, and to launch bridges for new projects, and new responses, within the scope of Portugal 2030», described the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development of the Algarve.

«Considering that, in the Social Innovation Village, the main topics under discussion focused on environmental sustainability, active and healthy aging and the inclusion of particularly vulnerable groups, it is expected that the new notice scheduled for October will be dedicated to these priorities».

In Algarve 2030, Social Innovation is part of the policy objective “A more Social Algarve”, with an indicative allocation of more than 7 million euros.

In the previous support framework, between 2016 and 2021, the CRESC Algarve 2020 Regional Program supported 34 Social Innovation projects, totaling an investment of more than 6 million euros.

To submit applications for European Funds, interested parties will have to enter the Funds Counter or update your profile on this platform if you have not already done so.
