Four wines from Herdade Barranco do Vale (HBV), one of the producers of Vinhos de Silves, were distinguished at the International Wine Challenge 2023, one of the most prestigious wine competitions worldwide, and in the 3rd Cidades do Vinho competition.
No International Wine Challenge, the HBV Blend Branco Grande Reserva, 2020, won the bronze medal, while the HBV Blend Tinto Grande Reserva, 2020, was distinguished with the Commended medal.
At national level, it was the turn of the HBV Chardonnay Reserva, 2020, to win the Grand Gold medal, and the HBV Sauvignon Blanc Reserva, 2021, to win the Gold medal in the 3rd Cidades do Vinho Contest, which took place between 5 and 7th of May, in S. João da Pesqueira.
In a press release, the Municipality of Silves «congratulates the producer Herdade Barranco do Vale for the recognition and success achieved, which greatly contribute to attesting to the work of excellence that the municipality’s wine producers have carried out in recent years, with a strong commitment to quality and differentiation of their productions».
