The next competition for teachers will allow the hiring of a further 8.223 teachers, half of which will be in the areas of Lisbon and the north coast, between Viana do Castelo and Porto.
The vacancy ordinance that marks the start of the external competition for dynamic binding was published this Wednesday and will allow the integration of teachers who have the equivalent of three years of service into the staff.
For teachers, the country is divided into ten “pedagogical zones” when it is necessary to compete to teach and the Pedagogical Zone Framework 1 (QZP 1) is the one with the most vacancies: there are 3.204 places for the region between Viana do Castelo and Porto.
For the region of Lisbon and Setúbal Peninsula, known by teachers as QZP 7, 1.537 vacancies were opened, and the region between Aveiro and Viseu (QZP 3) has almost a thousand vacancies, according to the dispatch signed by the Minister of Education and Minister of Finance.
Looking at national data, the greatest demand is for 1st cycle teachers (1.524 vacancies) and Portuguese teachers (639 vacancies), followed by Physical Education (552 vacancies) and Special Education 1 (533 vacancies). vacancies).
Teachers who teach Latin and Greek and Agricultural Sciences are the ones with the fewest vacancies in this competition: only one vacancy each in QPZ7.
This week, João Costa recalled that there are around 20 teachers hired, of which more than XNUMX meet the conditions to be hired now.
In addition to the eight thousand who will be able to join staff through the dynamic binding contest, another two thousand must bind through the so-called “brake rule”.
After more than five months of failed negotiations with the unions, the diploma that defines the new regime for managing and recruiting teachers was approved in March by the Council of Ministers and this week promulgated by the President of the Republic.
