Vila do Bispo: woman rescued after falling between Zavial and Furnas beaches

The victim was transported to the hospital by the Vila do Bispo firefighters.

A 39-year-old woman of Dutch nationality, "who allegedly suffered a fall while climbing, between Praia do Zavial and Praia das Furnas, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo", was rescued yesterday by the crew of the Lifeguard Station of Sagres, advances the National Maritime Authority. 

After the alert, received at 20:20, the crew of the Lifeguard Station in Sagres, elements of the Local Command of the Maritime Police of Lagos and the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila do Bispo went to the location.

According to the Maritime Authority, the victim was found "in a place of difficult access", having been rescued using a boat, to the port of Baleeira, from where she was later transported to the hospital by the elements of the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila of the Bishop.

The Port Captain and Local Commander of the Maritime Police of Lagos coordinated the rescue operations and the Local Command of the Maritime Police of Lagos took care of the occurrence.
