Vicentina dedicates Technical Conferences to the theme of accessibility

The Vicentina Association will promote the Accessibility Technical Days, on the 31st of May, from 10 am, at the Parish Council of Aljezur.

This session, which Vicentina organizes as the managing entity of the ADERE 2020 Local Action Group, has three workshops, which aim to “contribute to training local agents with tourist business activity, municipalities, urbanism, tourism, works, architecture, engineering; technicians of tourism, animation and tourist information, managers of planning and construction of works and equipment for accessibility», according to the association.

The workshops are the result of a protocol with EMPA – Structure of the Mission for the Promotion of Accessibility, a body under the supervision of the Secretariat of State for Inclusion, of the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, which contributes to the project with its team of trainers .

The first workshop, on “Current legislation on technical accessibility standards”, will take place between 10:00 am and 13:00 pm.

This is followed by workshops on “Accessibility in civil construction” (from 14 pm to 00 pm) and “economic advantages, good practices, support products and clarification of doubts (from 16 pm to 00 pm).

This initiative is part of an action plan of the transnational cooperation project Include-Rotas sem Barreiras, whose partnership involves several LAGs from Portugal, Spain and France, and which has the common objective of “Accessible Tourism”, being financed through Measure 10 LEADER , of the PDR, which aims to promote the interterritorial and transnational cooperation of the LAGs to work on issues common to the territories.
