Tomás Vilanova (Lusitano Frusoal) was the absolute winner of the “Height Triathlon”

On the female side, the first athlete to cross the finish line was Jana Advani, from Louletano

Tomás Vilanova (JUN class), from Lusitano Frusoal, with a time of 01:10:21, was the absolute winner of the “Altitude Triathlon”, in Sprint mode, a competition integrated in the Regional Championship of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo, disputed in Sunday, May 28th, at Altura beach.

In 2nd place was Rafael Batista (35-39 age group), from Louletano, and in 3rd place overall was the athlete Salomão Savelenko (20-24 age group), from the Mirachoro Hotels team.

On the female side, the first athlete to cross the finish line was Jana Advani (45-49 age group), from Louletano, with 01:25:13 of the race. Athletes Amelia Drumm (age 45-49), from Louletano, and Margarida Passos (JUN), from Mirachoro Hotels followed.

In terms of teams, Vasco da Gama Atlético Clube de Sines ranked first for men and Louletano for women.

With the sections of swimming (750 m), cycling (20 km) and running (5 km), the event brought to Altura, once again, many national federated athletes and from other countries, namely from neighboring Spain.

The VII Height Triathlon was organized by Clube Leões do Sul, São Bartolomeu do Sul, and the Municipality of Castro Marim, with the technical support of the Triathlon Federation of Portugal and the support of Turismo do Algarve, Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club, Parish Council of Altura and the IPDJ (Regional Delegation of the Algarve).
