Teia d'Impulsos promotes the first edition of the Inclusive Arts Festival in Portimão

The objective is to publicize the work that various entities develop in the Algarve in terms of art and integration

The Teia D'Impulsos Association promotes next Saturday, May 6th, the first edition of the Inclusive Arts Festival, taking place from 15 pm at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão.

The objective of the initiative is to publicize the work that various entities develop in the Algarve in terms of art and integration, representing “an ode to difference and the use of the arts to include all citizens, including people with physical or mental disabilities, in need. economy, migrant communities, infoexcluded communities, or those in a situation of social vulnerability”, according to the organization, which invited institutions from across the region to share their special projects.

The show includes inclusive dance performances, with people with and without disabilities, from ECOS (Teia D'Impulsos project), NECI – Specialized Nucleus for the Including Citizen, Algarvia Association (AAPACDM) and Academia Dança Mais.

For its part, ACASO – Cultural and Social Support Association of Olhão presents an artistic performance inspired by the poem “É Urgente o Amor” by Eugénio de Andrade, while MIX Dance Studio, from the East and Friends Support Center, will take traditional dances from other countries to the TEMPO stage, with Magic with Impact.

Entry to the show is free and tickets can be picked up at the TEMPO ticket office, starting this Wednesday, between 13 pm and 00 pm.

 

 

Alongside the show, the exhibition “Including with Art” will be premiered, which will remain in the lobby of TEMPO until May 15, where visitors will be able to find paintings by the young artist Rui Marques, as well as by users of the NECI Activity Centre.

In turn, the Irene Rolo Foundation (FIR) exhibits sculptures from the “Da Serra ao Mar” collection, while ASMAL – Associação de Saúde Mental do Algarve will reveal photographs of “Terno Efémero”, from its Teatro do Sótão, captured by Cláudia Vargues.

EXISTIR, on the other hand, proposes handicrafts in cork and other recycled materials, and Lar Residencial São Vicente, at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira, will bring together handicrafts, basketwork and palm work, both with the right to a practical demonstration on the opening day, all this by the hands of the users themselves.

We create projects based on equal rights and opportunities for everyone, so the Inclusive Arts Festival was a logical step to take and, therefore, we hope to have a lot of support because these groups deserve a big stage and a lot of applause! by Teia D'Impulsos.
