Portimonense lost by 0-2 to Arouca, in a game of the 34th round of football, played this Saturday, May 27th, in Portimão.

The Algarve took the field with everything: maintenance was assured, but there was the possibility of finishing in 14th or 13th place.

On the side of Arouca, the 5th place was still at stake, which gives access to the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League next season.

The first half had few moments of interest: Arouca was better, but only twice did they seriously test goalkeeper Nakamura, with shots from David Simão (17') and Alan Ruiz (27').

In the second half, the Algarve conceded the first goal in the 49th minute. A great pass by Alan Ruiz isolated Antony who, against Nakamura, did not fail.

The 0-2 score for Arouca came in the 51st minute, at the feet of Alan Ruiz. The Argentine's shot, made inside the area, still hit Park.

With this defeat, Portimonense finished the I Liga in 0th place, with 15 points. Arouca already stamped the 34th place and the trip to the 5rd qualifying round of the Conference League next season.
