Paderne hosts participatory session on the Integrated Territorial Instrument between Algarve and Alentejo

Initiative organized by the Commissions for Coordination and Regional Development of Alentejo and Algarve

The Auditorium of Caixa Agrícola de Paderne hosts this Tuesday, the 30th, the third participatory session regarding the ITI – Integrated Territorial Instrument between the Algarve and Alentejo regions.

The initiative, organized by the Coordination and Regional Development Commissions of Alentejo and Algarve, aims to respond to the challenges around two pressing issues shared between these territories: water and landscape ecosystems, as well as the direct implications they have about territories and people.

The consultation and involvement of the various actors are fundamental to the methodology of this ITI, which is based on the promotion of a broad participation process, where the living forces of society can actively contribute to it.

It is a dynamic action aimed at collecting contributions for the elaboration of the aforementioned territorial planning instrument, namely, what is intended to be to collect opinions on which policy instruments and structuring projects should integrate the Action Plan? What initiatives can different organizations take part in? What principles for the organization model should be adopted?

The session is open to all participants, however, prior registration is required, via email [email protected].

The project, made up of five sessions, began on the 29th in Monchique, and, in addition to the session taking place today in Paderne, on the 2nd of June there will be two more sessions (the last ones): at the Municipal Library of Ourique, from 10 am to 30:13 pm, and in Almodôvar, at the Cultural Forum, from 00:14 pm to 30:18 pm.
