Prime Minister António Costa will speak to the country

João Galamba, Minister of Infrastructure, presented his resignation to Prime Minister António Costa today, “in favor of the necessary institutional tranquility”.

“I announce that I have just now presented my resignation to the Prime Minister. In the current framework of perception created in public opinion, I present my resignation in favor of the necessary institutional tranquility, values ​​​​by which I have always guided my behavior and public action as a member of the Government ”, reads the statement sent by the Ministry.

João Galamba also reiterated that, “at a time when noise overlaps facts, truth and the essence of governance, it is essential to reaffirm that this Governing Area”, which it is proud to have led, “never sought to hide any fact or document ”.

“I resign despite the fact that at no time have I acted contrary to the law or against the public interest that I have always promoted and defended in my role as a ruler, as was, in detail and publicly, recognized by the Prime Minister”, he added.

Prime Minister António Costa will address the country in a few minutes.
