The beauty of the coast, the conditions of the bay and the uniqueness of the city of Lagos are some of the attractions that have been attracting the attention and interest of a growing number of tour operators, such as the Ponant company that operates in the cruise market. luxurious.

This Saturday, Le Champlain, a cruise ship flying the French flag belonging to this company, was anchored in the bay of Lagos, having been visited by the mayor, who came aboard at the invitation of the captain of the vessel, Yannick Simon.

Hugo Pereira had the opportunity to get to know the vessel's amenities and, above all, the design features and technological innovation that set it apart.

«The visit reinforced the conviction that Lagos has all the conditions to receive, on its coast, this type of smaller cruise ship, which follow strict sustainability standards, and to become a point of reference in its visit routes, a situation that, with this company, is already assured for the current year and the beginning of 2024», emphasizes the City Council.

There were around 140 passengers on this vessel, mostly French and North Americans, who, on that day, had the opportunity to visit the historic center of the city and go shopping in the local shops.
