Young students from Portimão participate in School Theater Exhibition

Between the 10th and the 26th of May, at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão

TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão will be the stage for another edition of the School Theater Exhibition, between the 10th and the 26th of May, which will make known to the local community the work carried out in the area of ​​representation, throughout the present school year, by the students and teachers from three educational establishments in the county

The first show, entitled “Sou Português, Portugal”, is scheduled for the 10th, 11th and 12th of May at the Grande Auditorium of TEMPO, in sessions aimed at schools, scheduled for 10:00 am and 14:30 pm.

With interpretation by pre-school, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle students of the Eng. Nuno Mergulhão, this musical piece will highlight the conquests of the Portuguese, from the formation of the Portucalense County to the taking of the Algarve, with a text by Ana Balancho, with adaptation, musical direction and staging by Francisco Balancho, scientific consultancy by Maria João Duarte and choreography by Gisela Nunes and Heidi Silva.

On the 17th and 18th of May, also at the TEMPO Grand Auditorium, there will be the dissemination of the project “On Stage”, produced by the students of the Professional Interpreter Actor/Actress Course (10ºF, 11ºE and 12ºC) of Escola Básica e Secundária da Bemposta , which includes three shows: “Selva & Poesia em Movimento”, “Não Morras & Diálogos e Monólogos”, and also “Last Chance & 33 de Janeiro”, directed and created by Pedro Filipe Mendes.

At 15:00 pm on the 17th, the group of young actresses from the 2nd year of the Professional Interpreter Actor/Actress course at Escola Básica e Secundária da Bemposta presents the artistic proposal “Selva & Poesia em Movimento”, for people over 6 years old, from the body and scenic movement, in which the spectator will be invited to elaborate his own narrative based on the intense work of the protagonists, who look at nature and say poetry.

Under dramaturgy, texts and co-staging by Mário Rui Filipe and vocal direction by Mariana Picado, the cast will compose Adriana Dias, Andria Raimundo, Bárbara Mendes, Beatriz Reis, Carolina Gil, Clara Cunha, Érica Santos, Helena Mendes, Iara Duarte, Maria Marques, Raíssa Machado and Verónica Malova.

On the same date, starting at 19:00 pm, the finalist group of the professional actor/actress interpreter course at EB Bemposta will stage “Não Morras & Monólogos”, a choreographic and vocal performance surrounded by classic monologues from the repertoire of conventional theatrical dramaturgy, during which students premiere their final course work and apply the contents taught throughout the various technical disciplines.

This session is intended for the general public, with tickets on sale at TEMPO box office, for the unit price of 3 euros.

 

 

Also with dramaturgy, texts and co-staging by Mário Rui Filipe and vocal direction by Mariana Picado, the show's cast includes Brígida Silva, Carine Oliveira, Inês Marques, Inês Guerreiro, Lara Brito, Leonor Bravo, Marta Sofia, Miriam Luz, Raí Simões , Ricardo Castaldo, Salomé Inácio, Sofia Dias, Viviana Nicolau.

Closing the trilogy of the On Stage project, a single session for schools of the artistic proposal “Last Chance 10 de Janeiro” is scheduled for 30 am on May 18, to be presented by students of the 33st year of the professional course Interpreter Actor/Actress of the School Bemposta Basic and Secondary.

«At stake will be the solution to the bad behavior and lack of education of some young people, through a playful and fun show, divided into two parts, where physical comedy and other texts that work the same theatrical genre, despite the difference in ages and times in which they were originally written», says the Municipality of Portimão.

Mariana Picado is once again responsible for vocal direction, with the cast comprising Afonso Carapinha, Carolina Otoni, Gonçalo Porfírio, Mafalda Andrade, Margarida Pereira, Rachael Bates, Riana Rocha and Ricardo Duarte.

The School Theater Show for the current school year closes on the 26th of May, with the show “A Ilha Desconhecida”, performed by O Teatro da Caverna, a group from Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School, staged by Alfredo Gomes and Nídia dos Saints.

The play focuses on the story of a man who pursues the dream of finding the unknown island and is willing to make it come true, whatever the cost, in a parable addressed to those who, in search of themselves, leave the comfort zone and go after their dreams.

The cast consists of Afonso Pinto, Ana Carneiro, Carolina Silva, David Cabeça, Jéssica Nobre, Luana Pires, Maria Silva, Matilde Gonçalves, Miguel Almeida, Rachel Mateus, Rui Miranda, with a session scheduled for 15 pm for schools, while the 00:21 session is open to the public from the age of six, who must purchase a ticket, at the price of 00 euros, at BOL and at the TEMPO ticket office.
