Grupo Rolear bought the residential-tourist resort Amendoeira Golf Resort, located near Alcantarilha (Silves), from Kronos Homes, which managed this project for five years.
With this sale, the company Kronos Homes completes the sale of the portfolio it acquired from the Oceânico Group in 2018, upon its entry into Portugal.
During this period, Kronos Homes states that it «repositioned the development, completed the requalification of the resort’s infrastructure, remodeling the Clubhouse, terrace, restaurants, Bar at the Sports Centre, having also reinforced the sports offer of the resort with the inauguration of two Padel».
The upgrading of the Amendoeira Golf Resort and Kronos Homes' strategic plan for the resort also resulted in «a real estate sales success, with the sale of a total of 241 properties (apartments and villas) to national and international clients».
The company states that it is «with great satisfaction that we concluded this transaction, which is another milestone in Kronos Homes' strategy in the Portuguese market and recognition of the work that we develop in this resort».
«We are certain that the Rolear Group will now enhance the strengths of the Amendoeira Golf Resort, which has always excelled in the exceptional quality of its golf courses, privacy, low construction density and natural beauty – features that are so highly valued today, comments Rui Meneses Ferreira, partner of Kronos Homes in Portugal», adds Kronos Homes.
For his part, the engineer Parreira Afonso, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Rolear Group, considers that «the Amendoeira Golf Resort, with its various components – tourism, sports and real estate – represents an immense potential for development, where the Rolear Group can play a key role".
«This investment allows us to put on the ground all the innovation and technology that characterize the organization's performance, namely in the area of renewable energies and energy efficiency», adds Parreira Afonso
The 102 workers at the Amendoeira Golf Resort will be integrated into the Rolear Group, which already has around 300 employees. «This whole operation brings us greater involvement in the regional economy, increased social responsibility and a whole new challenge that we hope will contribute to cementing the Rolear Group as a reference in the various areas in which it operates», said the Algarve businessman.
Located in Alcantarilha, close to Silves, in the Algarve, the resort offers an elevated lifestyle, with various sporting facilities: two award-winning golf courses, each with 18 holes, a nine-hole floodlit golf course, a Golf Academy, besides one driving range e putting green, a football pitch built to FIFA standards, two five-a-side football pitches, six tennis courts, two padel courts, a fully equipped gym, and a 1 kilometer jogging track.
