GNR detains two men and a woman for trafficking in Castro Marim

The military «found that the suspects were engaged in the sale of narcotics in the form of direct sale to the consumer in the municipality of Castro Marim, which is why they had been causing social alarm, uneasiness and a feeling of insecurity among the population», says the GNR.

Guard soldiers carried out 13 search warrants, three at homes and ten at vehicles, where it was possible to seize 46 doses of marijuana, 93 of cocaine, 47 of heroin, four precision scales, a shotgun, a machete, a saber. concealed in a cane, a starter gun (alarm), three airsoft pistols, six compressed air guns, two vehicles, various ammunition of different calibers and material that is suspected to come from thefts.

To this must be added 1882 euros in cash.

Two light vehicles that had been stolen in the municipalities of Tavira and Olhão were also recovered.

This police operation was reinforced by the Intervention Detachment (DI) of Faro, the Intervention and Special Operations Group (GIOE), the Intervention and Public Order Group (GIOP) and the collaboration of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), Tax Authority (AT), Castro Marim City Council, Social Security and Health.

The detainees were present at the Judicial Court of Faro, for the application of coercive measures.
