Albufeira art galleries with new exhibitions in June

At the Art Gallery Pintor Samora Barros between the 3rd and 27th of June and at the Municipal Gallery João Bailote between the 16th of June and the 8th of July

The month of June will be marked in Albufeira by the various exhibitions on display in the Municipality's Art Galleries.

From the 3rd to the 27th of June, the Art Gallery Pintor Samora Barros exhibits the exhibition “Tela, Papel, Scissors”, by Ana Paula Almeida, which focuses on promoting sustainability and raising awareness of waste. The artist presents an exhibition using the technique of collage on canvas, using recycled materials, such as newspaper and magazine paper, bringing a new dynamic to her projects and offering these materials a new life.

According to the artist, «the colors and shapes are the most prominent elements, which, through abstract geometric motifs, create textures and reliefs, leading the spectator to the work». Ana Paula Almeida also reveals that her inspiration «arises, essentially, from animals and people, always with the perspective of color as the focus».

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 13:30 pm to 17:30 pm.

At the same time, at the João Bailote Municipal Gallery, Bárbara Reis presents the painting exhibition “No Limite”, from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 30 pm and from 12 pm to 30 pm.

Maria Bárbara Reis was born in Santa Bárbara de Padrões, in the municipality of Castro Verde, and after developing her professional activity in the Algarve, she devoted herself to painting. It was then that she discovered that paints and brushes were one of her great passions.

From the 16th of June to the 8th of July, the artist brings to the county a set of contemporary works that portray the importance of texture and color in understanding the pieces.
