The António Aleixo Foundation will mark, on the 31st of May, the World Day of Family Welcome, with a session at the Municipality Center of Quarteira.
Since November 2022, this foundation has had the project “Family Home – Familias Aleixo”.
The aim is to promote family care for children up to the age of 6, «being responsible for the response in the municipalities of Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, Olhão, Albufeira, Lagos, Monchique, Vila do Bispo and Aljezur».
In the Algarve, there are 311 children in foster care and only one in a foster family, according to the António Aleixo Foundation.
This session will take place from 9:30 am to 16:30 pm.
