Artistic projects from Portuguese-speaking countries will be on display between the 24th and 27th of May at the Cineteatro Louletano, as part of yet another Tanto Mar – International Festival of Performing Arts in Loulé.
On the 23rd, before the shows take the stage, the opening of Tanto Mar will take place at Café Calcinha, in Loulé, scheduled for 18 pm, which will be followed by a conversation with participants and the audience on “The state of performing arts in Portuguese-speaking countries”, guided by researcher Marta Tecla.
From the 24th, and over four days, as many groups will perform at Cineteatro Louletano, three of them coming from overseas.
The program conceived by “Folha de Medronho”, by the Municipality of Loulé and by Cineteatro Louletano, which co-produce the event, «signals the path of connection with groups/interpreters/individuals from countries where the Portuguese language is spoken, looking for partners for the construction of a chain of exchanges», according to the organization.
«Tanto Mar is also the result of artistic practices developed throughout the year by “leaf de medronho” – Performing Arts of Loulé in Portuguese-speaking countries», he adds.
On the 24th, at 21 pm, the project “Quarto Império”, by Cátia Terrinca and Herlandson Duarte, by the UmColetivo structure, from Elvas/Portalegre, will be presented.
On the 25th, at the same time, the show “Os Dias de Birgitt”, by Mário Lúcio Sousa, by Sikinada – Companhia de Teatro, from Cidade da Praia in Cape Verde, takes to the stage.
It will also be at 21:00 that the other two pieces included in the program will be presented.
On the 26th, Teatro Lareira Artes, in Maputo, Mozambique, presents the show “Recados de lá_Revisitação”, by Santana Dias Santana.
On the last day, May 27, it will be the turn of the Ói Nóis Aqui Traveiz Tribe of Actuators, from Porto Alegre, Brazil, to stage the collective creation “MEDEIA”.
