The Chinese Ambassador to Portugal paid an official visit to Lagos on Saturday, May 13, accompanied by members of the diplomatic corps, journalists, representatives of the Luso-Chinese and Portugal – Hong Kong Chambers of Commerce and Industry, lawyers, businessmen and investors .
The Câmara de Lagos made Zhao Bentang aware of the potential of the territory of Lagos, namely «its natural, environmental, historical and cultural values», and presented the Chinese ambassador with the strategic guidelines for «economic and social development in the future, highlighting some anchor public investments and existing conditions with regard to attracting private investment”.
«Accompanied by local and regional entities, the delegation then visited a series of initiatives, equipment and companies that operate in the sea row, with a first stop at the GALAXIA Electric Boat Show and Marina de Lagos, followed by a visit to the installations by Sopromar Centro Náutico de Lagos and culminating the program with two investments by Algarve Partners (NaturaFish and Congelagos)», according to the Lagos Council.
Public and private entities linked to the sector accompanied this delegation's visit to Lagos, «which had a strong connection to structures for promoting entrepreneurship».
