The tourist accommodation sector registered 2,1 million guests in March, 30,8% more than in the same month of the previous year, and 5,1 million overnight stays, an increase of 26,7%, INE reported today.
According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), these indicators corresponded to 338,0 million euros in total income and 250,9 million euros in income from accommodation, which represents year-on-year growth of 45,1% and 49,0 .XNUMX%, respectively.
Comparing with March 2019, the pre-pandemic period, there were increases of 36,2% in total revenue and 40,1% in revenue from accommodation.
