The paving work on the streets of Bairro das Fontainhas, in the village of Pêra, has already been concluded, which is part of the contract for the Rehabilitation and Urban Requalification of Rua Alexandre Herculano, Rua Almeida Garrett and Rua da Escola Velha, whose global investment amounts to 1,2, XNUMX million euros.
The general contract is, according to the municipality, about to end – currently taking place on Rua Alexandre Herculano, in the section between the EN 125 and the detour to Bairro das Fontainhas – and involves the complete remodeling of the water supply and sanitation infrastructures. , rainwater drainage, telecommunications, public lighting, street furniture, sidewalks and pavements.
«This is a work of fundamental importance for the requalification of the urban center of the village of Pêra, making it more attractive and equipped with modern infrastructures, which will have an impact on the improvement of general well-being, mobility and the local economy» , refers to the Municipality of Silves.
