One man died and another was injured in a collision between a heavy truck and a light goods vehicle, on the IC1, in the Corte Pereiro area, in São Bartolomeu de Messines, which took place today, May 3, in the middle of the morning.

Second revealed to Sul Informação the Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection (CREPC) of the Algarve, the alert was given at 10:26 am and the forces sent to the place were faced with a fatality, “the driver of the light goods vehicle” and with a slightly injured person.

«There were 23 operators at the site, supported by 11 vehicles, including firefighters, GNR, INEM and Infraestruturas de Portugal», added CREPC.

Traffic was restricted in the accident area during the morning.
