The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) received this Saturday, May 20, a vote of praise from Isilda Gomes, mayor of Portimão.
This vote of praise, to the leaders, workers and volunteers, is a «consideration and public recognition of an entire community for the work carried out within the scope of the Covid-19 pandemic».
«They were very difficult times for everyone and, as is natural at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, we were alongside the population and the authorities, helping and supporting them in whatever way possible», said Paulo Pinheiro, after receiving the distinction in a ceremony that took place within the scope of Algarsafe – Portimão International Civil Protection and Relief Fair.
«It took a union and partnership like many had never seen before and in those moments borders and differences were forgotten in favor of public well-being... more help they needed», he concluded.
