Artist Tó Quintas put five species “on the loose” in the Parque Ribeirinho de Faro

Pieces designed by Tó Quintas

There are five artistic pieces, which represent the most emblematic species of Ria Formosa. The Riverside Park of Faro has, since this Friday, May 5th, one more reason to visit.

The pieces were designed by the contemporary sculptor Tó Quintas from Faro and are alluding to the most emblematic species of the Ria Formosa: the caiman or sultana chicken, the chameleon, the flamingo, the otter and the sea horse.

«This initiative aims to raise awareness among the population of Faro and all those who visit us to the need to preserve and enhance the biodiversity of the Ria Formosa», says the União das Freguesias de Faro.
