18 people, aged between 16 and 54, were arrested over the weekend, 29 and 30 April, in actions to combat crime, in the municipality of Albufeira.
Of these arrests, nine were for drug trafficking, four for driving under the influence of alcohol, two for illicit image recording and one for driving without a legal license.
In addition, 353 doses of cocaine, 106 of hashish, 21 of ecstasy, 18 of cannabis, 1545 euros in cash, 60 pounds, seven mobile phones, a knife, three identification documents and a high-capacity vehicle were seized.
Of the 18 detainees, five remained at the Guard's premises, having been presented at the Judicial Court of Albufeira, where one of the suspects was sentenced to preventive detention for drug trafficking, having been sent to the Silves Prison.
