Tavira dedicates festival to Flavors of the Sea

27 restaurants will have special menus for a month

Tuna, octopus, razor clams, anchovy and squid are some of the delicacies that can be tasted at the Festival de Gastronomia do Mar, which will take place in 27 restaurants in the municipality of Tavira between the 28th of April and the 28th of May.

Sea products are joined by wines and regional sweets, which «invite to celebrate the Mediterranean lifestyle» and to «meetings with flavors refined by generations and traditions, enhanced by fresh and seasonal products».

«The appreciation of traditional cuisine, characteristic of the classification of the Mediterranean Diet as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco, in line with the wisdom and mastery of the chefs and cooks define this Festival», summarizes the Câmara de Tavira.

Customers who try three of the restaurants participating in the event are eligible to win a prize.
