The 13th “Silves Tour”, which includes walking, running and cycling, will take place on the 7th of May and will raise funds for the institution “Amigos dos Pequeninos”.
Donations will be raised through the sale of the tshirt allusive to the event, costing 5 euros for an adult and 3 euros for a child, which is available at various points in the municipality: Amigos dos Pequeninos de Silves, Parish Councils of the municipality and Complexo das Piscinas Municipais de Silves.
This institution will be supported by the importance of its “Inclusive Sensory Garden” project, in response to the need to support children at risk or with developmental delay during early childhood, as well as helping their families.
The Silves Tour is part of the IPDJ Regional Walking and Running Calendar for the Algarve, and offers two walking and running routes of 10,8 kilometers and 7 kilometers, a bicycle route (guided) of 17,5 kilometers and an integrated route on the 2-kilometer Mini Mamã along the Silves City Park Cycle Path.
The departure of the Silves Tour and the Mini Mamã will take place on the 7th of May, at 9 am, next to the Silves Municipal Swimming Pools building.
Enrollment in any of the activities is free, but mandatory for sports insurance purposes, as well as the use of a helmet is mandatory on the bike ride.
