Silves promotes another free “story time”

On the 15th of April, at 15 pm, the Municipal Library of Silves will organize a special session of Story Time with the storyteller Bruno Batista.

The initiative, aimed at parents and children (from 5 to 10 years old), has free entry, but requires prior registration, until April 13th, via telephone 282 440 899 (call to the national fixed network) or mail address electronic [email protected].

Bruno Batista has a degree in Cultural Animation and Community Education. Actor, certified trainer and storyteller, he has lived in Lisbon since 2007, where he was born in 1979.

Until 2007, he lived in Lagoa and participated in more than a dozen theatrical productions at Associação Ideias do Levante, which he helped to found.

As a certified trainer, he conducts workshops on oral narration and promotion of books and reading. Bruno Batista was also a public school teacher for eight years. With the Estórias de taker do Chapéu, he created the project “Escola de Narração”, where he was a trainer.

At Fundação do Gil, he was a trainer and volunteer, taking the stories to hospitals between 2006 and 2014.

As an actor, he participated in several professional productions in the Algarve and at Teatro da Trindade, having also collaborated with the company Rituais Dell Arte, in several children's musicals, as a tenor. He also streamlined the radio program “Conto num Minutum” on Rádio Racal.
Since May 2022, he has been collaborating with the Municipal Library of Moita in a continuous work as a consultant and coordinator of Animation and Book and Reading Promotion projects.
