A sailboat, which had a cable on the propeller and was drifting towards an area of rocks, was helped on the morning of this Monday, April 24th, by the Sagres lifeguard off Mareta beach.
The alert was given at 12:30 pm.
The sailboat had two crew members: a Moroccan and a Frenchman who “were physically well”, says the National Maritime Authority (AMN).
The crew of the Salva-vidas Station proceeded to tow the sailboat, for reasons of safety for the crew and for navigation, to the port of Baleeira.
