A sailboat, which had a cable on the propeller and was drifting towards an area of ​​rocks, was helped on the morning of this Monday, April 24th, by the Sagres lifeguard off Mareta beach.

The sailboat had two crew members: a Moroccan and a Frenchman who “were physically well”, says the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

The crew of the Salva-vidas Station proceeded to tow the sailboat, for reasons of safety for the crew and for navigation, to the port of Baleeira.
