The ancestral haystack of Corte d'Ouro, one of the heritage “treasures” that can be found in the parish of Ameixial, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé, will be restored again and volunteers are sought to help in this mission, on Sunday, the 23rd, between 9:30 am and 13:00 pm.

The appeal is made by Cooperativa QRER, which promotes the Caminhaxial Festival, an event which will take place between the 28th and 30th of April.

«This haystack needs a new roof and this task involves removing the old roof, preparing new mats with rye straw and improving the wooden supports», according to QRER.

The idea of Sunday's action is to give a strong progress to the intervention, which will be completed during the festival.

QRER will offer lunch to those who join the initiative. Interested parties must register via email. [email protected]

In 2019, also within the scope of the festival, this haystack had already been intervened, action that the Sul Informação followed.
