The Folar Tasting in Guia once again enlivened Easter in Albufeira with music, animation, gastronomy, and the Giant Folar distributed by more than 3 thousand visitors.
«It was one of the best editions ever», said the president of the Parish Council of Guia Dinis Nascimento, for whom «The Folar Tasting is already a reference at this time of year in the region and it deserves that the Parish Council continues this commitment that greatly values the parish, contributing to the dynamization of the local economy and to the promotion of our brand».
The afternoon featured live music by artists Valter Cabrita and José Praia & Aquaviva. The Polidesportivo da Guia venue also hosted an exhibition of local handicrafts, where it was possible to purchase some traditional pieces, many of them alluding to the period.
In addition to the executive of the Parish Council of Guia, the mayor of Albufeira, the councilor for Culture, and councilor Victor Ferraz were also present.
The big moment of the day was tasting the giant folar, weighing more than 250 kilos, which was broken and distributed among all those present, in a moment of sharing that also symbolizes the spirit of the time.
This was the 19th edition of the Guia Folar Proof, an event organized by the Guia Parish Council and with the support of the
Local Commerce and Albufeira Town Hall.
