The Orquestra Barroca D'Aquém Mar, conducted by Sigiswald Kuijken, will present the Easter Oratory concert by JSBach at the Main Churches of Lagoa and S. Sebastião de Lagos, on the 14th and 15th of April, respectively, always at 21:00.
This show, promoted by the associations Questão Repetida and Artis XXI, will focus on Bach's Easter Oratory and Ascension Oratory.
On stage will be the soloists Cecília Rodrigues (soprano), António L. Menezes (contratenor), Fernando Guimarães (tenor) and Tiago Amado Gomes (bass).
«In the year that celebrates the 250th anniversary of the formation of the municipality of Lagoa and 450 years since Lagos became a city, homage is paid to two cities with an important and relevant historical past in the national panorama.
This is an event co-produced by Artis XXI – Associação de Educação Artística de Lagoa and Questão Repetida Associação Cultural, with the support of the Municipalities of Lagoa and Lagos, DGartes and the Algarve Tourism Board.
