VAT exemption in the basket of essential goods starts on April 18

The Budget and Finance Committee voted on the specialty the Government's proposal

The VAT exemption in the basket of essential goods will be in force from 18 April to 31 October, according to a proposal for amendment presented by the PS and approved this Tuesday, 4 April, by the deputies in the votes on the specialty.

The Budget and Finance Committee voted on the specificity of the Government's proposal to exempt a basket of foodstuffs from VAT, as well as the proposals presented by the various parties. BE and PAN, which added vegetable drinks to the list, and one from PSD, which included dietary products intended for enteral nutrition.

During the vote, the PSD also saw the approval of a proposal that adds fermented milk to the dairy products category.
