Inflation drops to 7,4% in March and reaches the lowest value since April 2022

According to the National Institute of Statistics

The year-on-year change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) slowed down to 7,4% in March, a rate 0,8 percentage points lower than that observed in the previous month and falling for the fifth consecutive month, INE reported today.

“With rounding to one decimal place, this rate coincides with the value of the quick estimate released on March 31st”, says the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

The March inflation rate is the lowest since April 2022, when it stood at 7,2%.
