“Conserved Images” will be exhibited at the Portimão Museum

Show will be open until 14th May

The photography exhibition “Conserved Images” opens next Saturday, April 15, at 17 pm, at the Portimão Museum. 

Promoted by ANICP – National Association of Canned Fish Industries, “Conserved Images” «is the theme of this photographic exhibition that takes a creative approach to images from the sea to the plate, related to the canning industry and resulting from an international competition launched by the entity promoter, in partnership with the Portuguese Institute of Photography», says the Chamber of Portimão.

178 photographs were submitted to the first edition of the competition, with the resulting exhibition starting to tour the Assembly of the Republic, which was followed by a tour of several Portuguese cities and places of recognized prominence, as will be the case of the Portimão Museum.

The show seeks to enhance the fish canning industry and is a unique opportunity to celebrate art, gastronomy and culture», he adds.

Open until the 14th of May, the exhibition, which has the support of Docapesca and the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portimão and will also have a tasting of preserves, can be visited at the following times: Tuesday from 14 pm to 30 pm; from Wednesday to Sunday from 18:00 am to 10:00 pm.
