Ideias do Levante and the Municipality of Lagoa come together again to organize the Coral Week of Lagoa, whose 23rd edition takes place between the 14th and 20th of May.
This year the event counts com the participation of the “Pennsylvania State University Men's Glee Club”, from the United States of America, as the opening concert to be held at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, at 17 pm. In addition to this, there will be concerts by the Coral Ossónoba Group (Faro), Coral Almira (Alcácer do Sal) and Coral Ideias do Levante (Lagoon).
The Coral Week in Lagoa is, according to José Carlos Bago d'Uva (mentor of the initial project), «an open meeting for sharing musical experiences and unforgettable moments of conviviality». «It is the annual occasion on which the municipality of Lagoa makes the (en) / chant of vocal polyphony sound“ in 4 voices ”by the lands“ of Levante ”», he also refers.
For José Carlos, this date already represents a milestone in the circuit of choral events in the country.
