clothes stands vintage, a barbershop, tattoos, American cars, show cooking, street food, beer, a flair show, trauma techniques, concerts and even pin ups will take place in the 1st edition of the Brazonada Rockin`Guia, which will take place on the 30th of April, at Polidesportivo da Guia.
The event, organized by the Moto Grupo da Guia Brasões de Ferro, with the support of the Municipality of Albufeira and the Parish Council of Guia, starts at 13:00, with a social lunch.
Afterwards, the “festival-goers” can take the opportunity to visit the various stands in the enclosure and enjoy the different experiences.
At 16 pm the first performance with DJ Rockindad takes place, followed by a new musical note at 00 pm. At 17:00, dinner will take place, with various gastronomic proposals available to the participants.
«The highlight of the program is reserved for after dinner with the concerts of “Hot Billy Rods” (21:00 – 22:15) and “El Pavoni Harp & His Rockin`Trio” (22:30 – 00:00), with which the program ends », according to the Albufeira Council.
José Carlos Rolo, president of the municipality, highlights «the importance of holding the event for the Brasões de Ferro Group, as well as for attracting visitors to the parish of Guia».
Cristiano Cabrita, vice-president of the Chamber, underlines, for his part, «the dynamics of the community, by promoting an event that promises to take the name of the parish of Guia and the municipality itself further and that, in addition, has the potential to become one of Albufeira's anchor events».
The mayor also considers the promotion of this type of event to be an asset, «especially at this time of year, when the high season for tourism has not yet begun».
