The Ocean restaurant, Flor de Sal – Salmarim, Look-Al Cultural Experiences, Faro, the Sardine Festival in Portimão and the Seafood Festival in Olhão are the six nominees from the Algarve in different categories of the AHRESP Awards, whose voting is taking place until the 7th of May and is open to all.
One of the finalists in the Algarve is the Ocean Restaurant, with two Michelin stars, located in the Hotel Vila Vita Parc, in Porches, Lagoa, which will compete for the award in the Innovative Concept category. In the Product of the Year category, the nominee is Flor de Sal – Salmarim, while Faro reaches the final in the Destination Revelation of the Year category.
The company Look-Al Cultural Experiences is nominated for the Service of the Year award and the Sardine and Seafood Festivals, in Portimão and Olhão, respectively, are both finalists in the Event of the Year category.

The winners of the AHRESP Awards will be announced and distinguished at the final gala, on the 2nd of June, at Pátio da Galé, in Lisbon.
This competition aims to «distinguish the best of the year in the Hospitality, Tourism Promotion and Restaurant sector, in Portugal», according to the organization.
In this 7th edition, more than 300 applications were received. In each of the 13 categories in the competition, 5 finalists were selected by the Selection Committee, made up this year of 43 specialist members and professionals from the areas of catering, hospitality and gastronomy, as well as renowned journalists, critics and gastronomists.
The winners of the prestigious categories, such as País Lá Fora, Career Award and Excellence Award, will be nominated directly by the AHRESP Board of Directors and by the respective AHRESP Awards Honor Commission in the third and final phase of the event edition, in which the results will also be validated. online voting and assigned categories of honor.
