“The History of the Algarve Goes to the Library” by Lagoa

7th conference focuses on “Political Prisoners in the Algarve in Angra do Heroísmo and Tarrafal”

As part of the Cycle of Conferences “The History of the Algarve Goes to the Library”, by Maria João Raminhos Duarte, the 20th conference “Algarvian Political Prisoners in Angra do Heroism and Tarrafal”. 

The conference takes place in the Multipurpose Room of the library, admission is free and is aimed at the general population, students, teachers, educational agents and other entities.

The cycle of conferences focuses on the Contemporary History of the Algarve in an innovative approach and instrument of development by the researcher, trainer and teacher Maria João Raminhos Duarte.

«A stimulus not only for young people, but for older people, from the Algarve or not, who are interested and engaged in themes that are close to them, such as Local and Regional History of the XNUMXth century», says the Lagos municipality.

This will be the penultimate conference of this cycle.
