UAlg will be at Futurália until the 25th of March

Futurália is taking place at the Lisbon International Fair, at Parque das Nações

The University of Algarve is present at “Futurália – Educational Offer, Training and Employability”, which is taking place at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL), in Parque das Nações, until the 25th of March.

UAlg is one of more than 300 institutions of higher and professional education, national and foreign, which is present at this event to make itself known and answer questions to potential candidates.

Joana Massano visited the UAlg stand with a group of colleagues from the Samora Correia School Group.

12th year students in the area of Science and Technology consider this initiative a unique opportunity to contact and get to know a large number of teaching institutions, polytechnics, universities and professional schools, since, as Joana says, «they have never been so close to enroll in higher education”.

Despite still not being sure of her choice, Joana adds that «the integrated master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UAlg could be an option».

Carolina Isqueiro, who attends the 12th year of Languages and Humanities at Escola Secundária José Afonso, in Seixal, thinks that «all classes should come to Futurália». «I still have my life open, but Psychology is an option and so is the University of Algarve».

Colleague Sofia Espada, on the other hand, is undecided between Psychology or Marketing. Regarding the future educational institution, she is also «very leaning towards the University of the Algarve», she said.

From D. Maria II School in Vila Nova da Barquinha to the UAlg stand in Futurália arrived Inês Asseiceiro, a 11th grade student, who wants to study Marine Biology, also having UAlg as an option. In her opinion, «this is an excellent initiative, as it gives us a global perspective of the training offer».

According to the institution, the stand of the University of Algarve has received hundreds of students and educational agents, who, at first hand, have access to all the information about the Institution: courses (degrees, masters, doctorates, postgraduates and CTeSP ), open days (April 18th to 19th) and summer courses (July 3rd to 14th).

For UAlg, «participating in these educational exhibitions is an opportunity to make its offer known in a structured way, showing visitors that they have different options for building their training path».

Until next Saturday, the UAlg Stand can still be visited in Pavilion 2, at Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL), in Parque das Nações.
