Sociedade Recreativa Bordeirense celebrates its 87th anniversary with an accordion competition

Activities take place over the 1st and 2nd of April

The 87th Anniversary of Sociedade Recreativa Bordeirense will be celebrated with an Accordion Competition, on the 1st and 2nd of April, at the D.ª Leonor Outdoor Activities Center in Bordeira.

On Saturday, at 13 pm, the opening of the large exhibition will take place, with around 00 panels alluding to accordionists, who will be honored within the scope of the project “Terra de Accordion” since 2008, with free entry.

At 13:15 pm, there is lunch for the 87th Anniversary of Sociedade Recreativa Bordeirense, where members pay 15 euros and non-members 17,50. Attending the lunch will entitle you to attend all events free of charge.

For 15hXNUMX is scheduled Baile de Accordion old-fashioned with Sérgio Conceição and Hugo Madeira.

Later, at 21:00, the Grand International Gala of Accordion presents Michel Sapateado (France), João Palma (World Champion), Hugo Madeira, Sérgio Conceição, Silvino Campos, Nelson Conceição Quartet, Orquestra Garvefole (Ana Luísa de Águeda, Andreia Martins, Bruna Palma, Catarina Viegas, Inês Faria, Madalena Sousa , Mateus Marrachinho, Matilde Sousa, Miguel Coelho, Rodrigo Veloso and Tiago Conceição).

The show will also feature singers Cristina Paulo and Melissa Simplício as special guests. Entry costs five euros.

On Sunday, April 2nd, at 14 pm, the exhibition will open with around 00 panels of accordionists honored under the project “Terra de Accordion".

At 15:30 pm, the XNUMXst Youth Festival “Terra de Accordion”, open to all young accordion players aged up to 25 who, if they wish, can register until March 29th.

The event is supported by the City Council of Faro, Parish Council of Santa Bárbara de Nexe, Association of Accordionists of the Algarve – Mito Algarvio and Association of Accordion Garvefole.
