The Sports Complex of Santo Estêvão, parish in the interior of Tavira, hosts the 1st edition of the “Meeting of Classics” on the 26th of March.
For the first time, lovers of classic cars head to the parish of Barrocal in the Algarve to show off their machines and share a taste for these pieces of history.
Participants will be able to get to know the parish and surroundings and share experiences about their cars, while tasting regional snacks and watching a concert by the band Triudos.
They will also be able to qualify for the “Best Car of the Meeting” trophy, a prize awarded according to the public's vote and with a value in purchases at one of the event's partners, Damascar.
Visitors will be able to appreciate machines from different eras and brands, some over 60 years old, and spend a different day. They will also be able to vote for their favorite machine.
The event is organized by 1597 – Associação Cultural, Recreativa e Desportiva de Santo Estêvão, the most recent association in the region, which was set up with the aim of boosting the village of Santo Estêvão and the Barrocal region of the Algarve.
Participation and visit to the Meeting are completely free.

The event has the institutional support of the Municipality of Tavira, the Union of Parishes of Luz de Tavira and Santo Estêvão and Rádio Gilão. It also has the support of Serra Tours, Damascar, Auto Plácido and Pereira & Gago.
