Do you want to be part of the Petisco Route? Entries are now open

The Petisco Route runs from September 15th to October 15th

The Petisco Route returns this year, between September 15th and October 15th, and establishments that want to offer their delicacies to try can now register.

The ingredients of this 13th edition are innovation, quality and sustainability and there will again be different modalities within the Route: the good Petisco or a Sweet, whose recipes must include local products and be inspired by the region. Establishments that want to participate can also present a Vegetarian Option.

To promote the gastronomy of the world, restaurants from Mexico, Vietnam or Japan are also returning.

The organization, in charge of the Teia D'Impulsos Association, seeks to innovate in each new edition this concept, awarded nationally, and this year is no exception.

«More than having a high number of participating establishments, we want to ensure the quality of the snacks served, making known renowned chefs who recreate Algarve flavors like no one else», emphasizes the organization. The objective is to double, or even more, the number of chefs present in its modality.

Establishments wishing to register can do so until June 15 at website and should contact [email protected] or 910 174 814 for more information.

In the solidarity aspect of this Route, the value of 1,5 euros paid for the passport reverts in full to social projects in the region.

The Petisco Route originated in the city of Portimão, in 2011, and in 2020 it had the widest reach ever, with 231 participating restaurants, spread over 13 municipalities in the Algarve: Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Portimão, Silves, Monchique, Lagoa, Albufeira, Loulé, Faro, Olhão, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira.

Driven by TDI, with the support of several local public and private entities, the event aims to promote local restaurants and commerce, promote the traditional gastronomy of the Algarve, as well as revitalize participating locations through social and cultural entertainment and the enrichment of the region's tourist offer.
