PSD/Portimão: «Government forgets the Maternidade de Portimão again»

Only one “Government + Next” initiative takes place in Portimão

The PSD/Portimão criticizes "the omission of interest" by government entities, exposed in the public agenda of the "Government + Next" initiative, about "a major regional problem by ignoring the worrying situation of the Maternity Hospital of Portimão, which has worrying closing numbers in 2022 and already in 2023».

The communiqué, signed by Carlos Gouveia Martins, leader of the Portimão Social Democrats, also highlights "the factual inability of the Municipality of Portimão, compared to the other 15 municipalities in the Algarve, in the face of the Government's public agenda, to present projects, innovative proposals and strategy that justifies the members of the Government being in Portimão with “examples of success” of what is the 2nd largest City in the Algarve region».

The “Government + Next” initiative, which started yesterday and ends this Thursday, the 1st and 2nd of March, brings the Portuguese Government, including Prime Minister Antonio Costa, to the Algarve, to participate in more than six dozen events initiatives «of which only one will be in Portimão», reinforces the Portimonense PSD.
