First edition of the U12 Portimão International Cup tournament expects more than 300 young people

Competition takes place this weekend

The Portimão International Cup returns this weekend, on the 25th and 26th of March, this time with the first edition destined for the U12 level, at the Major Training Center of David Neto (Academia do Portimonense Sporting Clube), with the participation of some of the biggest football clubs in the world and more than 300 young people. 

After the first two editions of the U14 Portimão International Cup, the competition extends to the Infantis B level (athletes born from 1 January 2011), bringing together Inter Milan, Parma, Bétis de Sevilha, Everton, Aston Villa, Twente, Portimonense, Benfica and Sporting, among 24 teams from 21 clubs, from 11 countries on several continents.

In these days, more than three hundred young athletes will compete for this youth training trophy, whose games will take place at the Major David Neto Training Center, with games between 9:00 am and 20:00 pm on March 25th and from 9:00 am to 17:00 pm on the following day.

Tickets can be purchased on site and cost 5 euros per day. Children up to 12 years old have free entry.

This first edition of the U12 Portimão International Cup is jointly organized by Portimonense Sporting Clube and Elite Performance Football, with the support of the Municipality of Portimão.
