MotoGP/Portugal: Bagnaia wins first sprint in history, Oliveira was 7th

This was the first sprint race of the MotoGP World Championship

The Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) today won the first sprint race in the history of the MotoGP World Championship, debuted at the Portuguese Grand Prix, the first race of the season being held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão, in which Miguel Oliveira ( Aprilia) was seventh.

The Portuguese driver, who was third on the last lap, made a mistake and went wide on curve 11 of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve layout, crossing the finish line 2,940 seconds from the winner, with the Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati) in second, at 0,307, and the former world champion, Spaniard Marc Márquez (Honda) in third, at 1,517.

On Sunday, the main race will be held, for which Miguel Oliveira starts from fourth on the grid.
