The Municipality of Monchique joined the Training + Next programme, a Turismo de Portugal project developed by the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portimão.
Centered and adapted to the county's needs, the project is aimed at local entrepreneurs and technicians, but also at the general public who want to see their skills reinforced, and aims to "endow local economic agents with knowledge and tools to expand the business".
In addition, the project aims to create a municipality that has a more qualified tourist sector and a booster of the local economic fabric.
In a first phase, a diagnostic survey will be made available, aimed at companies and entities in the sector, which aims to learn about needs and opinions, so that training is the most correct and appropriate to the local reality.
These training actions are free and certified through the SIGO platform, as part of the forty hours of training provided for in the Labor Code.
