Miguel Oliveira received in an «overwhelming» way by hundreds of motorcyclists

Miguel Oliveira was received in an «overwhelming» way this Wednesday, March 22, at the Pavilhão do Arade (Lagoa), before the MotoGP Grand Prix, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão. 

«Several hundreds of motorcyclists came together to receive and in a unique way escort Miguel Oliveira on a short trip full of symbolism between the Pavilhão do Arade in Parchal in the municipality of Lagoa and the riverside area of ​​the city of Portimão», tells the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Coming from all parts of the country, several hundred received in a festive atmosphere the riders who, starting next Friday, will compete in the Portuguese Grand Prix.

Luca Marini, Marco Bezzechi, Ayumu Sasaki, Diogo Moreira, Jaume Masia, Pedro Acosta, Jake Dixon, Deniz Oncu and, of course, Miguel Oliveira were the riders who passed through the stage installed in the Portimão Riverside Zone.

Paulo Pinheiro, CEO of Parkalgar, and Isilda Gomes, mayor of Porrtimão, officially opened the Grand Prix programme.

«It is always very special to race in Portugal and Portimão. Being here at the opening of the championship in a new era and with a new team is a challenge and I naturally want to repay all this affection and support in the best way next Sunday», said the driver from Almada.
