Infralobo and Infraquinta donated 900 olive trees and books to children in Almancil

This initiative follows on from Infralobo’s “Green Smile” project.

The municipal companies Infralobo and Infraquinta celebrated, this Tuesday, March 21, the World Tree Day with the donation of 900 olive trees and children's books to children of Almancil.

The 1st cycle basic schools and kindergartens covered by this initiative were the following: Jardim de Infância das Escanchinas, Escola Básica de Almancil, EB and JI de São João da Venda, EB de São Lourenço, EB Dr. António de Sousa Agostinho, JI de Almancil and EB Canon Dr. Clementino de Brito Pinto.

This initiative follows Infralobo's “Green Smile” project, which started last year and is also part of Infraquinta's environmental project.

«The purpose of the donation was to encourage children to care for the environment and to understand the importance of preserving forests and biodiversity», say the municipal companies.

«We are very proud to be able to contribute to the education of children and to the preservation of the environment. We believe that initiatives like this are essential to guarantee a sustainable future for the next generations. This is a very important initiative for the municipality, as it aims to educate our children about the importance of preserving the environment and biodiversity», says the management of both companies.
